What Collectors Ask Me
Everything you want to know — answered with honesty, care, and a collector’s mindset.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with collectors across 5 continents — from first-time art buyers to seasoned enthusiasts.
Below, I’ve gathered the most common questions they’ve asked me, along with clear, thoughtful answers.
Whether you're wondering about the materials I use, the shipping process, or what makes this a real work of art — you'll find everything you need to feel confident and excited about collecting.
The Artwork
What makes this a real work of art?
This isn’t a poster or reproduction. It’s a museum-grade artwork — signed by me, Adam Biernat, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Every piece is crafted with archival materials of the highest standard — museum-grade 100% cotton paper, pigment-based inks, and decades of technical refinement. But what makes it truly fine art is the vision behind it.
I’m an award-winning fine art photographer who has spent the past decade capturing the stillness of Iceland’s most remote corners. Since 2014, I’ve lived in the Icelandic wilderness for months at a time — beside glaciers, volcanoes, and faraway fjords — waiting for the light to break through the fog.
These aren’t just landscapes I photograph. They’re places I’ve lived, listened to, and waited for — until something quiet and true reveals itself.
My work has appeared on the covers of Iceland’s leading magazines, in award-winning exhibitions, on music album covers, and was published by ASSOULINE in Iceland Epic — a globally renowned collector’s book.
When you collect one of my works, you’re not buying a decorative image — you’re investing in a meticulously crafted, deeply personal work of art, made to last for generations.
What makes this collectible?
Each artwork is signed by me, Adam Biernat, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
It’s crafted with museum-grade materials and built to last — but more than that, it’s a reflection of years spent exploring the far edges of Iceland, waiting for the quiet moments others miss.
Will it fade over time?
No. Each piece is backed by my Lifetime Fade Warranty. It is crafted to last a lifetime — and beyond.
Printed with archival inks on museum-grade cotton paper, it meets the highest conservation standards.
If your piece ever shows signs of fading under normal display conditions, I’ll replace it.
Are your materials archival?
Absolutely. I use archival Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm — one of the world’s finest photographic papers — paired with top-tier archival inks (12-ink Canon Lucia Pro) for exceptional depth, detail, and longevity.
Is there a border?
Yes. Each piece has a clean white margin that gives it space to breathe and allows me to sign it.

Framing
Are your frames made of real wood?
Absolutely. I hate fake wood. Black and white frames are solid wood (pine), and the oak one is solid pine core with oak veneer.
The wood used is FSC®-certified, sourced from responsibly managed forests that meet strict environmental and social standards.
Do you use glass or acrylic?
To ensure both clarity and durability, glazing is selected based on artwork size:
Small and medium sizes are framed behind high-quality glass, offering crisp clarity and a classic finish.
Larger sizes are framed behind premium framing acrylic (3mm thick) — lighter, safer, and ideal for substantial works, while preserving excellent visual clarity.
Do you frame with a mount?
All artworks are framed without a mount, creating a clean, gallery-style, contemporary look that keeps the focus entirely on the image.
A subtle printed border around the artwork provides visual breathing room and balance, resulting in a presentation that feels intentional and modern.
What are the exact frame dimensions?
You can find the exact frame dimensions here.
Where do you frame?
I frame my artwork in London, with the help of a trusted framing studio I’ve worked with for years.
