Framing Guide
When shopping my fine art prints, you can get them unframed or framed and ready-to-hang.
Framed Prints
Choosing the right frame for your artwork can feel overwhelming, with so many options available. However, it doesn’t have to be!
I’ve handpicked three high-quality wooden frames that perfectly complement my fine art prints. They are crafted by Nielsen, a renowned German frame producer known for its exceptional quality. These frames are made in Germany with the highest attention to detail, using FSC®-certified wood sourced from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council®.
Small and medium prints are framed behind glass, while large prints are framed behind high-quality framing acrylic.
All of my fine art prints are framed without a mount (but with a printed border), giving them a sleek, modern look. A classic black frame will suit any space, while a white or oak frame will add a contemporary vibe to your decor.

Frames come in three different finishes: black, white, and oak.

All of my fine art prints are framed without a mount, which gives them a sleek, modern look.

My framed prints are ready to hang, which means they come with hanging hardware attached to the back of the frame.
Unframed Prints
Buying unframed prints offers endless possibilities for framing and matching your décor. Additionally, it can be the most cost-effective option if you decide all you need is an inexpensive ready-made frame.
My giant prints (A0 – 84.1 × 118.9 cm) are available only unframed. I recommend using your local custom framing services to frame them.
When to choose unframed prints?
You want your frame to perfectly suit your decor
Unframed prints allow you to choose a frame that best suits your décor. You have an influence on how the finished work will look, and you participate in the creative process, which I know is exciting for many of you.
You can choose from a variety of options and styles—wooden frames, metal frames, rustic frames, modern frames, or more traditional ones.
You can frame prints with a mount for a more traditional look, or without one for a more minimalist, modern appearance. Large prints always look better without a mount, and I don’t recommend framing anything larger than A2 (42 × 59 cm) with a mount.
You have a ready-made frame
All of my prints have standard sizes (f.ex. A4, A2 etc.), so that you can easily get a standard size ready-made frame.
If you want to frame prints bigger than 100 x 70 cm yourself, it's best to mount the print first. Mounting the print to a rigid surface (f.ex. foamboard, dibond) makes it perfectly flat.
In order to mount the print, you have to visit a framer. Then you can easily insert a mounted print inside a ready-made frame.
You want to use a service of a local custom framer
At your local framer's you will probably find the biggest selection of different frame moldings and mounts. They will advise you what's the best way to frame the print.
If you ordered a giant print, then custom framing is the best way to go.
