The air shimmered with heat and mist, the ground breathing beneath my feet. In the heart of Iceland’s Highlands, Hveradalir unfolded like a vision — steaming vents, rivers of colour, and the faint scent of sulfur hanging in the wind.
From a distance, the valley looked like a painting in motion. Streaks of ochre, turquoise, and ash blending under a pale northern sky. Only when you notice the lone figure standing on the ridge does the scale reveal itself — the vastness, the silence, the fragile presence of a human soul in the raw creation of the earth.
I’ve always been drawn to places where opposites meet — fire and ice, chaos and stillness, solitude and belonging. Hveradalir is all of them at once.
Each artwork carries its own lineage — from the landscape that inspired it, through my hands, to the craftsmen in London who frame it with precision. It’s a chain of trust and skill, designed to endure as long as the memories it represents.
